Hamilton Island Enterprises operate Hamilton Island resort in the Whitsunday's.

The services department is responsible for the islands water supply and water mains as well as maintaining the islands 27 pump stations. Hamilton Island has 2 water treatment plants a 2.0 ml/day DAF plant and a 4 bank reverse osmosis plant capable of producing 1.3 ml/day.

Wastewater is treated using an activated sludge process which currently treats 1.0 - 1.2 ml/day influent. Hamilton Island re-uses 100% of its treated effluent on the resort gardens and private residence gardens.
