Opeam was established to provide specialist services to the Marine Pollution and Petrochemical industries, for both Government bodies and Private Industry. Its focus was the importation of a multi-purpose built marine pollution vessel, the development of a complete and comprehensive Asset Management System, provision of safety services to the petrochemical sector and the development and delivery of specialist training courses.

Opeam is proud to be the Australasian Agent for Ecoceane vessels. Ecoceane of France, designs and builds a range of vessels to collect hard waste such as algae, seaweed, plastics, and hydrocarbons floating on all kinds of water surfaces. Built of aluminium, these “vacuum cleaners of the sea” operate without using chemicals and are currently used extensively around the world.

The Opeam Asset Management System© has been developed in consultation with Equipment Maintenance Professionals and IT Specialists. It is a web based system, with 24/7 availability from multiple locations that allows management the control and audit of all assets in a simple to use format.
