Novasys can help Water Industry Operators in three significant ways.

Solar-powered, floating, Long Distance Circulators (LDC’s) move large quantities of water over long distances in a non-turbulent, near laminar fashion. In wastewater treatment lagoons, the LDC’s can displace grid powered mechanical aerators used for mixing DO in the lagoons and save thousands of dollars annually, as well as reducing odours and sludge levels. In freshwater lakes and reservoirs, LDC’s prevent harmful algal blooms. In potable water storages, silent, effective mixing prevents stagnation and consequent bad taste and odour issues.

Tuned multifrequency ultrasonic devices effectively control algae and cyanobacteria in smaller lakes, reservoirs as well as in wastewater treatment tanks by disrupting cell structures. Removal of algae prevents clogging of filters and nozzles. These devices use very little power – maximum 16 watts – and can be powered by solar or wind energy.

A range of coalescent plate, oil-water separators are available in “kit” form to fit any size tank or pit. When gravity fed, these oil-water separators use no power. When mounted on trailers, these oil-water separators can be rapidly deployed to spills for effective and fast clean-up. Spills into ground water can also be remediated by these portable units so that leakage into lakes and reservoirs is minimised or prevented.
