The Water Industry Operators Association of Australia (WIOA) is a national non-for-profit association with a primary role of facilitating the collection, development and exchange of quality information between people undertaking operational roles in the water, wastewater and recycled water industries.
Share your experiences at the 2016 NSW Conference
The Call for Papers and posters is now open for the 2016 WIOA NSW Conference to be held in Newcastle on 6 & 7 April 2016. If you have ideas or have completed works that could influence the operational aspect of the water industry, there’s no better place to share them at a WIOA event. Abstracts close on 19 October 2015.
VIC Wastewater Interest Day in Wodonga
The Victorian Advisory Committee will be holding a Water Interest Day on Thursday 15 October in Wodonga. Supported by North East Water the day will include some technical presentations as well as a tour of the Wodonga WWTP.

Who has the Best Tap Water in Australia?
Having conducted a number of State Wate Taste Tests, WIOA have decided to put the winners of these events head-to-head against each other to determine who has Australia Best Tasting Tap Water. The test will be held in Gunnedah in conjunction wtih a Water Interest Day on Thursday 29 October2015. Voting will be open to the general public.

The NSW Advisory Committee in conjunction with the Northern Inland Water Group will be holding a Water Interest Day on Thursday 29 October. The day will include the 2015 Ixom Best Tap Water in Australia competition.
Fantastic attendance at Victorian Conference & Exhibition
The 78th WIOA Victorian Water Operations Conference & Exhibition conducted in Bendigo was once a again fantastic event for the Victorian Water Industry. WIOA congratulates Steve Letcher from Central Highlands Water on being named 2015 Operator of the Year, all the other award winners, and those who shared their knowledge and experiences at the event. Marysville has the Best Tasting Tap Water in Victoria
Congratulations to the team at Goulburn Valley Water on winning the 2015 IXOM Victorian Water Taste Test. The taste test is a fun way to raise awareness of the quality of Victoria's drinking water and to recognise the efforts of local water service providers in delivering valuable water services to their communities. The Marysville community can now boast as to having the Best Tasting Tap Water in Victoria.
