The Water Industry Operators Association of Australia (WIOA) is a national non-for-profit association with a primary role of facilitating the collection, development and exchange of quality information between people undertaking operational roles in the water, wastewater and recycled water industries.

NSW local water utilities are invited to participate in the Ixom NSW Water Taste Test to find the Best Tasting Water in NSW. The heats, grand final judging and the announcement of the winner will be conducted at the NSW conference in Newcastle. More information

Nominations for the NSW 2016 Operator of the Year Award are now open. The NSW Water Directorate sponsors this award each year to reward excellent performance, initiative and all round attention to detail by an operator of water or wastewater treatment facilities.
Marysville voted as having the Best Tap Water in Australia
Having conducted a number of State Wate Taste Tests, WIOA put the winners of these events head-to-head against each other to determine who has Australia Best Tasting Tap Water. The test was held in Gunnedah where the Victorian sample provided by Goulburn Valley Water (Marysville WTP) came out on top.
