The Water Industry Operators Association of Australia (WIOA) is a national non-for-profit association with a primary role of facilitating the collection, development and exchange of quality information between people undertaking operational roles in the water, wastewater and recycled water industries.
SA Interest Day & Ixom Water Taste Test
WIOA extends an invitation to members and their guests to join other water industry operators to attend a Operations Interest Day and the running of the third Ixom South Australian Water Taste Testto be held at the TAFE SA Tonsley Campus on Thursday 13 July.

Victorian Operators - Opportunities to be recognised
Consider nominating operational employees who have excelled in the workplace for these prestigious awards, winners will be announced at the WIOA Conference to be held in Bendigo. Nominations close on Friday 4 August 2017.

Members Opportunity - $6000 in PD with the Kwatye Award
WIOA members are encouraged to apply for this prestigious award by 20 July 2017. The award aims to create positive change in the Australian water industry by investing in the personal development of operational employees, rather than their projects. Up to $6,000 is available for the winner to use on expenses to undertake a professional development activity.
Queensland Operators Recognised
The Queensland Operator of the Year was one of the many awards presented at the successful WIOA Queensland Confernece and Exhibition held in Logan last week. A record crowd turned up to the event with over 850 individuals in attendance.

NSW conference in Canberra a great success
Over 700 water professionals came together in Canberra on 29 & 30 March 2017 for the WIOA NSW Conference & Exhibition. The event included the announcement of Shane Kimber from Shoalhaven Water as the NSW Operator of the Year. All of the winners are available here.
South Australian 2016 Operator of the Year announced
Congratulations to Daniel Partridge from SA Water who was announced as the winner of the inaugural award in SA. Daniel will join other WIOA members on the tour to NZ in May thanks to the support of TAFE SA who sponsored the award.
